Steam Distillation: Ylang-ylang oil is obtained from the flowers of the ylang-ylang tree (Cananga odorata). The freshly picked flowers are subjected to steam distillation. The steam carries the volatile compounds from the flowers, which are then condensed and separated to obtain ylang-ylang oil.
